This tour is for 7 days and 6 nights and visits areas of both the Amazon River and Rio Negro We start in the Amazon River area. Some of this excursion will involve camping and sleeping in the jungle without air conditioning and electricity.
Amazon River area:
Day 1: We leave in the morning by speed boat to see the “Meeting of theWaters”, after which we continue on to Janauari Ecological Park, Here you will see the Giant water lillies and have the opportunity to photograph some of the animals like sloths, monkeys, birds and snakes. We then continue our journey upstream till we reach the Cacau Priera where we will go 60 km by car to get to another area where we will go Piranha fishing. At night we will spend the evening in a local persons home.
Day 2: We wake up at 5:30 in order to catch the sunrise on the Rio Negro, we have breakfast and then go to visit the pink river dolphins for a swim. Afterwards we break for lunch After lunch we go by motorized canoe to the place where we will overnight in the jungle. Upon arrival in the jungle we set up camp For dinner we will have a Barbecue consisting of Chicken, Fish or meat whatever we brought along.
Day 3: We have breakfast and head out in the morning to explore the Islands by canoe we do this until lunch time and head back for a good meal. After lunch we head to an area on the Amazon River and
Return to the Amazon River area:
There we establish a new camp and then explore a group of lakes in the area where you will see more of the fauna and flora. Upon return we have a good dinner and relax a bit for at night we will go out spotting for Aligators and other nocturnal animals and do some spear fishing. Again we stay overnight in a local persons home.
Day 4: After breakfast we will go out in the morning to observe the monkeys and birds as they search for food. We will then return to camp and have lunch we will take a short hike in the afternoon to see the differnce of the plants from the Rio Negro area. Return for dinner and then afterwards head out to do saome spear fishing.
Day 5: In the morning we head off to go and visit an indigenous Indain village, here you might have the opportunity to see a native ritual dance we will spend the day there learning about their culture and how they live in the jungle.
Day 6 & Day 7: We will explore an area composed of lakes, spotting for alligators and wildlife taking short hikes to observer the fauna and flora of the Amazon River area back channel lakes. On day seven after lunch we will prepare for our return to Manaus and arrive in Manaus at 5:00 pm.
